You can create an information site and monetize whit AdSense, but you can also get leads for the ski resorts (even if they don’t have an affilaite program, you can still arrange a JV with them). If possible, visit each resort you plan to promote (have a skiing vacation and write it off as work: win-win!), talk to people about what they like most about the area, review the best (and worst) places to eat while there, etc.
You can also sell airfare tickets to these resorts, and you’d leave money on the table if you didn’t create a section on your site for ski gear. For that, you can use the IPK method of building well optimized SEO pages.
